Last week we paddled on the Barrow and Liffey in short sleeves with liberally applied suncream. This week a group of very brave beginners had their first kayaking lesson in the middle of a snow storm! Well done to them. They all got stuck in learning the skills very quickly and smiling throughout. I quite enjoyed the experience of a snow storm lesson with intermittent sunny brilliance on the Upper Liffey. How beautiful that area is an all weathers. If you are reading this it’s not too late to sign up for next weeks class!!! Who knows what the weather will bring us then.
Earlier on in the day I had another session on the Liffey. This time I was in Lucan with a youth group. Well done lads. Nice work on the weir. 🙂
In other news we are teaming up the Irish Canoe Union this June to run 3 kayaking courses in Slovenia. There is more info in the news section. We are guaranteed to have good water levels on these trips so if you are itching to get back in your boat sign up now.
Here’s hoping for some rain soon (at night time preferably).
