There was an abundance of wildlife on the Liffey yesterday 🙂
I was paddling with a group from Lucan to the Strawberry beds and we managed to see two herons, a pair of otters and a kingfisher as well as the arrival of spring flowers like snow drops. I grew up around this area and I have seen a big decline in the wildlife species around the Liffey and the Rye rivers during the 90s and naughties. But now it seems that nature is making a come back. One of these days when I figure out how to work my camera properly I’ll put up pics. Till then you will just have to take my word for it that it was great to catch glimpses of these animals along the way. Nature is remarkably resilient.
